Responsibilities and Opportunities
Colloquy For Adjunct Faculty Experience (CAFÉ)
The goal of the CAFÉ program is to provide professional development opportunities for adjunct faculty that will further integrate them into the learning community and culture of Mesa Community College. In addition, the program encourages adjunct faculty to contribute to the academic life of the college.
The CAFÉ program is based upon the accumulation of CAFÉ credits. Adjunct faculty may earn these credits – a maximum of 10 per year – by attending selected workshops and seminars or by completing a curriculum development project approved by their department chairs and the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
CAFÉ credits are accumulated throughout the same academic year (fall and spring term). Certificates will be awarded upon completion of the full 10 hours. Payment for credits will be based on availability of funds. Priority for funding will be given to first-time CAFÉ participants.
Faculty who want to participate in the CAFÉ program may obtain additional information in the Center for Teaching and Learning at 480-461-7331.
