Canvas LMS

Canvas is the Maricopa Community Colleges’ supported Learning Management System (LMS), used across the District. It supports online learning and provides students in all course modalities with access to assignments, due dates, grades, course materials, and other resources.

But Canvas is more than a place to store content. For many online students, Canvas is their primary MCC classroom.

In a face-to-face course, students experience the instructor, their classmates, the classroom, and campus resources around them. Online, those elements must be intentionally designed and made visible. The organization, content, activities, interactions, and pathways you create in Canvas shape how students experience your course.
