Criteria
The course includes technology tools accessible to all students and a link to an accessibility statement for technology tools, in accordance with federal and district standards.
Text is formatted using the LMS default fonts, headings, and styles to support readability, consistency, and accessibility.
Text content is available in an accessible format and is readable by assistive technology, including PDF and text contained in images.
A text equivalent for every non-text element is provided ("alt" tags, captions, transcripts, etc.), and audio descriptions are provided for video-only content.
Hyperlink text is descriptive and makes sense when out of context (avoid using "click here").
Text, graphics, and other visual elements provide sufficient color contrast for readability and do not rely on color alone to convey meaning.
Tables are used exclusively for data (not page layout) and are structured to support screen readers.
Slideshows utilize predefined layouts with unique slide titles and simple, manual transitions.
Flashing and blinking text are avoided.
