Effective learning activities intentionally progress from lower-order thinking skills, such as remembering and understanding, to higher-order thinking skills, including applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. Bloom's Taxonomy provides a useful framework for designing activities that gradually increase cognitive complexity while helping students build confidence and mastery.
